Mancos boys basketball coach Mike Glover calls a play in a February 2012 game.

Mancos High School boys varsity basketball coach Mike Glover has been placed on administrative leave, until further notice, due to personnel reasons.

Mancos Schools Superintendant Brian Hanson confirmed this information to the Mancos Times on Friday.

The decision came from the recommendation of Heath Showalter, Mancos Schools Dean of Students and Athletic Director.

No other official details have been released at this time to the Journal or Mancos Times.

Glover is in his second season as coach of the Mancos Bluejays. He has a record of 15-19.

Mancos junior varsity coach Stan Yake has been named interim varsity coach. Emilio Marquez will coach the JV and be Yake's varsity assistant.

Glover succeeded longtime coach Gary Hill, who compiled a 447-273 record in 30 years at Mancos after his contract was not renewed following the 2011 season.
