Wolf symposium to be held at Fort Lewis College

The Fort Lewis College biology department will host a free, all-day wolf symposium for the public from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the FLC Student Life Center Gymnasium, 1000 Rim Drive.

Thursday’s three-part event will include different speakers during the morning and afternoon sessions and an evening public discussion with the day’s speakers. The schedule is:

8:30 a.m. to noon: Four morning speakers. 1 to 4:30 p.m.: Five afternoon speakers. 7 to 9 p.m.: Evening public discussion. Wolf experts will present diverse perspectives on wolf behavior and ecology; the significance of wolves in Native American culture; wolf restoration and management; and the history and future of wolves in Colorado.

Guests are invited to join for any or all of the sessions and will have an opportunity to interact with speakers and other guests.
