Just one day following the burglary at the Riverside Convenience Store in Dolores, one suspect was arrested by Montezuma County Sheriff's deputies.

On Jan. 16, the Riverside Convenience Store's owner, Tom Rowell, discovered the store's front door broken and packs of cigarettes and lottery tickets missing.

On Jan. 17, deputies were contacted by three convenience stores in Cortez when someone had cashed in the stolen lottery tickets.

After reviewing surveillance video from those stores and an initial interview, deputies arrested 22-year-old Christopher Owens on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
