2013 Scouting for Food Drive

Boy Scout Troop 518 will be doing it's annual food drive in the Town of Mancos. Bags will be dropped off at your house the weekend of Feb. 2 and 3 and we will pick filled bags up Feb. 9. Please leave your filled bags of non-perishable food by your front door. We will be donating the food collected to the Mancos United Methodist Church for distribution. Please contact Sensa Wolcott at (970) 533-9148 with any questions. Thank you in advance for your participation!

Super Bowl - Columbine Style

On Sunday, Feb. 5, the Columbine will host its 6th annual Super Bowl party with the best potluck supper in the county. You can watch the game on our brand new hi-def TVs, play some pool on our two tables, win prizes, and hang out with your pals cheering your team! Neither the San Francisco 49er's, nor the Baltimore Ravens have ever lost in a Super Bowl appearance. The 49er's have won five times, and Ravens have only won once, but however it works out on Sunday, one of them will have lost a Super Bowl game. The Ravens don't have nearly as long or illustrious Super Bowl record, in large part because they didn't exist until 1996. The last time the 49ers won a Super Bowl, the Ravens didn't even exist, but that didn't keep Baltimore from getting to the big game and capturing a Super Bowl title. This should be great game in a great setting, so come on down!
