Speaker to elaborate on Hopi identity in architecture

The Hisatsinom Chapter of the Colorado Archaeology Society will host Samantha Fladd on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church, 515 Park St., to discuss “Identity Accumulation at Homol’ovi.”

According to a press release from Kari Schleher, Fladd will address how group identities were expressed through relationships with architecture and how groups utilized and related to new architectural forms at the Homol’ovi Settlement Cluster, a group of ancestral Hopi villages in northeastern Arizona.
