A dream of being able to be who you are

I have a dream that one day we will all be able to live in a world with less fear. Every day people are pushed around for what they look like, what they wear, how they choose to express their sexuality and other pointless things. When I turn on the TV and hear a story about some kid committing suicide because they were bullied, it breaks my heart. I too have been bullied and I know what it feels like to be an outcast, someone who is not accepted by others. I have met people who have thought about taking their lives because of bullying.

I have a dream that one day everyone will be able to go to school without the fear of being made fun of for the most out of this world reasons. I have a dream that one day we will be able to live in a world where it doesn't matter if your family is rich or poor. I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day everyone will be able to walk through the school hallways without feeling insecure.

I have a dream today.

Our world has gone from the lightest feather to the heaviest rock. Bullying is like a fish out of water, or a fire with no flame. I have a dream that one day you won't be cool because of what you look like on the outside, but what you look like on the inside. I have a dream that one day everyone will be able to wear what they want, act how they please and say what they want without being pushed around.

I have a dream today.
