Dalton Randolph named All-State

The Denver Post announced its 2012 All-State high school football teams.

Dove Creek senior Dalton Randolph was named to the 8-man football All-State team as a punter.

Randolph had a season-long punt of 61 yards and pinned two punts inside the 20-yard line. Randolph was also named the Western League offensive player of the year. At quarterback, he passed for 1,256 yards and rushed for 1,158 yards in helping the Bulldogs to the 8-man quarterfinal playoffs.

Randolph accounted for 37 touchdowns last season.

At defensive linebacker, Randolph recorded 89 tackles, seven sacks, and recovered three fumbles and forced one fumble.
