Ag Expo monthly meeting
Four States Agricultural Exposition (www.FourStatesAgExpo.com) will hold its monthly Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 6 p.m., at the Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce, 928 East Main Street in Cortez. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
Four States Agricultural Exposition is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a forum for agricultural producers, suppliers and consumers in the Four States Region. Showcasing new agricultural technology, the annual Ag Expo show offers innovative ideas and advancing effective production and marketing of traditional, specialized and alternative agricultural products through education, demonstrations and promotion.
PCC president will speak at Business Club Luncheon
Higher education takes the spotlight at the Chamber of Commerce' Business Club Luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at noon in the community room at First National Bank.
Pueblo Community College President Patty Erjavec and Norm Jones, the new Dean of Southwest Colorado Community College East and West Campuses will be our featured presenters.

Leadership Training Institute accepting applications
The Montelores Family Leadership Training Institute is currently accepting applications for its class of 2013.
Each year the Family Leadership Training Institute (FLTI) offers a 20-week course to emerging community leaders that integrates personal and child development, leadership training, civic literacy and civic participation skills. Participants will use the tools developed to address social policy issues that affect children and families in their communities. The course is one evening a week.
