Area Girl Scouts seek volunteer troop leaders

The Girl Scouts of Colorado-Southwest are currently looking for volunteers to be Troop Leaders within Montezuma County. This is a non-profit organization serving all of Colorado. Chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), this is the largest leadership development organization for girls in the world. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts of Colorado makes it easy, meaningful and fun for girls and volunteers to grow as leaders. Scouting provide a safe place for girls to explore their world - from science, technology and the environment to healthy living, anti-bullying and financial literacy. For 100 years, Girl Scouting has been helping each girl develop her personal leadership skills and make friends that last a lifetime. Girl Scouts is also a great place to enhance job skills and give back to the community as an adult volunteer. In fact, Girl Scouts serves 30,100 girls and 10,000 volunteers across Colorado. All volunteers receive basic training for their position through adult learning opportunities. Training ensures that each volunteer has the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in her or his work.
