‘ServSafe’ food safety training in November

The Colorado State University Extension Office will sponsor National Restaurant Association “ServSafe” food safety trainings in November at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

Sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 8.

The cost is $120 per person. Participants will receive a course textbook and take a final exam. For each business associate from the same site and employer, the cost is $80 and includes one textbook to share.

The online final exam is an additional $37 and requires a laptop computer. Participants who complete the test with a score of 75 percent or higher will receive a ServSafe certificate, which is valid for five years.

Registration is required five days in advance.
