Thursday, Oct. 18

7:30 a.m.: A man was arrested for trespassing at the McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St.

11:32 a.m.: A male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center was served a warrant for arrest out of San Juan County, New Mexico.

9:09 p.m.: A woman sitting in front of an apartment building and drinking alcohol was arrested for violating a protection order.

Friday, Oct. 19

2:26 p.m.: A man who was brought to Cortez from Towaoc in an ambulance was arrested on three active warrants.

7:50 p.m.: A man was cited for shoplifting an $11.99 bottle of Canadian LTD whiskey from Liquid Assets, 718 E. Main St.

11:54 p.m.: A man with a bloody nose and mouth was arrested near S. Chestnut St. and W. Seventh St. for violating two protection orders.

Saturday, Oct. 20

1:57 a.m.: A man was arrested for DUI cannabis near McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St.

12:45 p.m.: A man was arrested at Pippo’s restaurant, 100 W. Main St., for being intoxicated, bothering cafe patrons and drinking sugar.

4:29 p.m.: A man was arrested for DUI and child abuse for driving with his son near Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

6:40 p.m.: A man was arrested for driving with a revoked license and with only one license plate after he parked in a stranger’s driveway and jumped over fences to get away from an officer.

7:58 p.m.: A woman was cited for shoplifting $57.85 worth of goods from Safeway, at 1580 E. Main St.

9:58 p.m.: Five individuals sitting in an alley near City Market, 508 E. Main St., refused to leave. One man was arrested on a warrant, and a woman was arrested for violating a protection order.

10:17 p.m.: A man on pretrial release on two felonies was arrested on the 10 block of E. Seventh St. for being highly intoxicated and violating bail conditions.

Sunday, Oct. 21

1:42 a.m.: A white Dodge pickup driving was stopped for weaving on the 2500 block of South Broadway. The male driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol, open container, possession a weapon by a previous offender, displaying a suspended license plate and weaving. Two female passengers were arrested on warrants.

5:24 a.m.: A woman who refused to leave Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., and was throwing trash was arrested for trespass and resisting arrest.

12:01 p.m.: A woman called dispatch to report someone had broken into her home on the 800 block of Ridge Drive. The woman found a Colorado ID on her front window sill she believed belongs to the man who broke in. Officers are seeking a warrant for the man’s arrest.

6:19 p.m.: An employee at Burger King, 520 W. Main St., was cited for third-degree assault for hitting another Burger King employee. The aggressor had refused to remove his headphones, and the other employee allegedly said, “What are you going to do, hit me?” The aggressor then hit him.

Monday, Oct. 22

12:55 p.m.: A man was arrested for trespassing at Liquid Assets, 718 E. Main St.
