No one hurt when plane makes hard landing near Denver

LONE TREE – Colorado authorities say two people escaped injury when their small plane crash-landed into a grassy field southeast of Denver.

The single-engine plane went down around 7:30 a.m. Friday east of Interstate 25 at Lone Tree. There was no fire associated with the incident.

Fire officials said the pilot and a passenger got out of the downed plane unharmed.

No other details were immediately released. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
