The Neau Wauve Mu Sutz Snowmobile club is sponsoring a Winter Carnival at the Stoner Alpine Lodge on Saturday and Sunday, January 13 and 14. Events are scheduled to get underway about 9 a.m. on Saturday with novelty races for the young and old including races such as Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Rescue Races, etc. The Club invites everyone to come and bring your snowmobile and participate in the fun or just come to watch.

A new course is being offered to the adults and parents of the community for high school credit at the Dolores High School. The course is entitled "Introduction to Physchological and Human Relations" and will be taught by Charles Melvin of the Science Department and Tom Long, Guidance Counselor, for Dolores High School.

Maxine Bartholomew was an overnight guest of Kathy Hoffman on Sunday night. The girls attended the movie in Cortez on that evening also.

Chuck Tobin was married on Saturday, Jan. 6 to Donna Jordan of Farmington. The wedding took place in Farmington where the young couple will make their home. They spent a day at the Purgatory Ski area and then came on to Dolores to visit with Chuck's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tobin, returning home on Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. and Ms. Warren Veach from Cortez visited with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Watkins on Sunday afternoon.

Skip and Sue Anderson were dinner guests of Clarence and Shirley Williams on Sunday evening.

Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Tomberlin over the holidays were Mrs. Tomberlins' sister, Mrs. Robert Butts and three children from Hotchkiss and her mother, Mrs. Mary and her brother, Larry, both from Monte Vista.

Linda Tobin will be spending from two to three months in Beulah, Colo. taking care of a friend who has been quite ill.

WSCS held their first general meeting for the year on Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Methodist Church Annex.

On Tuesday evening, Mrs. E. W. Froede gave a bridge party in her home. Those present were Loava Bartholomew, Hazel Garbareno, Mary Akin, Bossie McEwen, Lee Stephens (1st prize), Mildred Denby, Vaughna McClain, Evelyn Tibbits (2nd prize), Margorie Bowen (Bingo), Juanita Fredriksen (3rd prize), Marie Carlson and Lorena Akin.
