The Dolores Town Board will meet on Monday, Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 420 Central Ave.
On the agenda is what will likely be a lengthy discussion on how to deal with the recent voter-approved legalization of marijuana.
Town Manager Ryan Mahoney said the Dolores Town Board will likely first focus and possibly ban the use of marijuana on any town or public property, which is similar to the open alcohol container laws in town.
Also on the agenda is a resolution for special events permits and alcohol sales, the resolution will likely streamline the process of getting special events permits.
Also on the agenda, is a resolution to approve the sheriff's contract, which will remain the same as last year's contract with the Montezuma County Sheriff's Department.
