If law enforcement can arrest someone for smoking pot in the presence of a child, on child abuse grounds, can they not also arrest a person for smoking cigarettes or drinking liquor in front of their kids? Or for that matter, for using a chain saw without protective glasses? I think Law enforcement needs to tread very lightly when arresting someone for a legal activity that law enforcement believes to be harmful to children. Not that I don't agree to some extent. When I see a car full of babies filled with cigarette smoke, it gives me pause - what harm is that parent doing to those kids and their innocent little lungs.
