"Mob" Mancos

This "Cash Mob" thing is a great idea!

It's a project sponsored by the Mancos Valley Chamber and is hitting a different place each month.

It gets people out of the house, into the stores and helps them get an idea of what we have in this town!

And, it encourages everyone to buy local!

Maybe you like to do a lot of your shopping at the big box stores, in Cortez, Farmington or Durango. However, when you go to the local stores, whether they're art galleries, restaurants, grocery stores or coffee shops, you'll find that the things you see are unique and unusual.

Since many of the items found here in Mancos are made by Mancos artists, they are naturally one-of-a-kind. You won't find them anywhere else! And that's generally what your friends and family like about where you live!

If you're like me, your gift-giving goes on all year. And I appreciate being able to go into a local place and get a handmade mug or home-grown food to send to someone who doesn't live in this area.

So, join the rest of Mancos as we "mob" Zuma Natural Foods this Saturday at 9 a.m. You just never know what you'll find!
