Cody Lyon, an artist out of Dove Creek, will take her artwork to Mancos on Saturday for a showing of her work.
The show, titled “The Travelers,” will be hosted at Olio Restaurant on West Grand Avenue in Mancos.
An artist’s reception for Lyon will be held at the restaurant from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, and her work is scheduled to remain on display at the restaurant over the coming weeks.
The Olio Restaurant is owned and operated by Chef Jason Blankenship and his wife, Michelle Blankenship.
Jason is the restaurant’s sole chef, serving a high-end menu that changes weekly and features local ingredients.
Rena Wilson, president of the Mancos Creative District, curates the art that is shown in the Olio. All artwork displayed in the restaurant is for sale, with prices for the upcoming show ranging from $200 to $3,600.
Work by Susan Reed, an acrylic painter from Cortez, had been on display at the restaurant since August.
Lyon, a seventh generation Coloradan, will show bringing oil paintings that focus on towering mountains, galloping horses, and yellow flowers.
