Man found dead near Durango Dog Park is identified

Emergency workers responded last week to the Durango Dog Park where a man’s body was found in the general vicinity. The man’s death was ruled a suicide Wednesday.

A man found dead last week near the Durango Dog Park has been identified as Dawson W. Radau, 27, of Orlando, Florida.
An autopsy was performed Wednesday in Durango.
La Plata County Coroner Jann Smith ruled Radau’s death a suicide, she said.
His body had been hanging from a tree “almost at the top of the ridgeline” for several weeks, said Durango Police Cmdr. Ray Shupe.
