Registration is now open for the Leading Edge course, "Tilling the Soil of Opportunity" offered by the SW Colorado Small Business Development Center. This innovative, farmer and rancher friendly course teaches the art of business planning and management with a focus on agriculture and related businesses such as food processing, farm services, recreation and tourism. Attendees can learn to test ideas, explore new marketing opportunities, create budgets, understand financial statements, find about how and where to get funding, develop a business and marketing plan and network with other farmers. Ideal for both new and experienced agricultural producers and entrepreneurs. This Leading Edge course is offered by SW Colorado Small Business Development Center and will be held on Saturday afternoons at the Mancos Public Library starting Saturday, Jan. 19 and will run through March 23.
