Montezuma-Cortez Homecoming Parade livens up Montezuma Avenue

The Montezuma-Cortez High School Homecoming Parade Thursday was on Montezuma Avenue this year. The theme was Hawaiian luau.

The parade features bands, floats and a flag team.

Ute Mountain Princess Aliyah Jacket was on one of the floats.

“Having it on Montezuma Avenue is safer for the kids,” said one resident. “And I watched it from my porch.”

Students are always all smiles during Homecoming Week.

The band played on to spectators who lined the median and curb along Montezuma Avenue.
