Sunday, Dec. 11

1:47 a.m.: A juvenile was apprehended in La Plata County after he allegedly stole a pickup truck and a cell phone from his grandfather in Cortez while his father was out of town.

Monday, Dec. 12

4:35 p.m.: A man reported that someone had broken a window at his residence in the 15900 block of County Road 30.8. A deputy concluded that a rock had been thrown through the window, valued at $500.

1:27 p.m.: The Antique Corral, 6800 U.S. Highway 160, reported that it believed that two men were trying to sell stolen firefighter suit and helmet for $10. A deputy viewed surveillance video and obtained photos of the men and their black, four-door car.

Tuesday, Dec. 13

5:30 p.m.: A deputy fatally shot a deer that had been hit by a vehicle in 15000 block of U.S. Highway 491.

2:10 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, Dec. 14

8:35 a.m.: A woman reported that someone had used her residential trash can, in the 100 block of N. 21st St. in Dolores, to dump a computer. She was frustrated because computer disposal carries an additional fee.

Thursday, Dec. 15

9:37 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the pretrial services office at Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:55 a.m.: A man was remanded to the Montezuma County jail by District Court, 109 Main St.

12:53 p.m.: A man reported that the woodpile in his yard, at 16500 County Road 30.4, had caught fire. Crews from the Dolores Fire Protection District assisted in extinguishing the fire.

3:01 p.m.: A man was served two warrants while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3 p.m.: A woman was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.
