Dear Editor:
I am writing in regard to the story from Shannon Livick about the Confederate Flag ban. Obviously she has not studied American History on the cause of the Civil War. The war was started not because of slavery. The northern states actually had more slaves than the south. The war was started because of President Lincoln imposing unfair taxes on the Southern states. The Confederate Flag is not a symbol of hate, it is a symbol of HERITAGE! Seems as if the School Superintendent needs to go back to school and study history of the Civil War. People say the Flag offends them, I myself get really offended by the punks wearing their pants down around their knees with their nasty underwear showing!
