The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program is seeking volunteers to help with the upcoming tax season.

Tax-Aide offers free in-person preparation and assistance for all people, especially those 50 and older, who are unable to afford a tax-preparation service. Volunteers assist older, lower-income taxpayers and their families to prevent them from missing tax credits and deductions they have earned.

The program is seeking volunteer tax preparers, client facilitators, interpreters and people who can provide technical and management assistance. All experience levels can volunteer and complete tax preparation training and IRS certification. AARP membership is not required to use Tax-Aide.

The program is offered at about 61 locations in Colorado, including senior centers, libraries and more.
