EMILY LLOYD, of Durango, will sell her one-of-a-kind purses in Dolores this Saturday.

If anyone knows purses, it is Durango resident Emily Lloyd.

Lloyd sews purses in every style and color imaginable at her home and plans on bringing them to Dolores Saturday for the annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Show at the Dolores River Brewery from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

One of Lloyd’s more popular purse is a reversible one.

“I try to make a subtle side and a little bit wilder side,” she said. “Each bag is totally one-of-a-kind.”

Lloyd runs Violet Mae Designs and has been doing so for about four years, she will sell her purses for the first time in Dolores on Saturday.

Lloyd was drawn to purses because of her love for fabric.

“I’m always on the hunt, some of it’s vintage, some of its is used and some of it is new. I just love fabric,” she said.

The Dolores River Brewery Holiday Arts and Crafts Show will feature Lloyd and other local artists including those that make pottery, jewelry, photography, fiber arts, fine chocolates, handmade soaps and more.
