Mancos High School Student Council and the National Honor Society are holding a toy drive for the children in the Cortez community.
The students in Mancos would like to sponsor an elementary school in Cortez to extend holiday giving to students in the neighboring school district. The toys donated will be given to students attending Manaugh Elementary School in Cortez, as well as children currently at Southwest Memorial Hospital.
The toy drive will run from Monday, Dec. 3 through Tuesday, Dec. 18. Drop boxes will be located at the entrance of the Cortez Walmart, P&D Grocery in Mancos, Mancos High School, Middle School and Elementary School. Toys donated must be new and still in the original packaging or with tags.
