Two of the vacant storefronts in the Wilson Building on the northwest corner of Main and Market in Cortez recently have been improved by the addition of holiday decorations inside of their windows. Mitchell Toms, the owner/manager of this structure, is to be congratulated for this public service.

The vacant store on the northeast corner of Main and Beech also has been decorated with a lighted holiday display insider it. The owner/manager of this building is also to be congratulated for this public service.

Perhaps the owners of other vacant commercial properties in the “downtown” area of Cortez will make the effort to improve the appearance of their property in a similar fashion. This will, at least temporarily, improve the appearance of this area for the benefit of visitors, both local and from out of town.
