New children’s book author will read

‘Granny’s Rocker’

The Cortez Public Library is proud to host new children’s book author Vickie Drake during our regular Storytime at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. Vickie wrote the book, Granny’s Rocker, and will read from it and have the book available for purchase after. Granny’s Rocker uses heartwarming rhymes about spending quality time in a rocking chair with a child. The unique illustrations of black-and-white pencil drawings form a sketchbook depiction of the pure and simple joys of life. Tender expressions from the heart of the adult provide the child with opportunities for learning, loving and living. The quality content and construction make Granny’s Rocker an appropriate gift book for a parent or grandparent, as well as any child. It is available in eBook format as well.
