Center of Southwest Studies lecture series features Mabel Dodge Luhan

Lois Rudnick, professor of American studies at University of Massachusetts, will give a presentation about her most recent book, Mabel Dodge Luhan & Company: American Moderns and the West, at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.

The presentation is about Mabel Dodge Luhan – patron, muse, writer and cultural catalyst – who played a role in American modernism and embraced the cultures and traditions of Pueblos and Hispanos.

The Center of Southwest Studies’ summer lecture series, based on the theme “Women in the Southwest,” is free and open to all.
