The Southwest Colorado Pickleball Association wants to congratulate the city of Cortez in its pursuit and completion of the new dedicated outdoor pickleball courts. What a great complement to the already robust parks and recreation programs. For a smaller community, Cortez is ahead of many of the other local municipalities in providing facilities for one of the fastest growing sports in the nation.
Our compliments to the Cortez Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Dean Palmquist of the Parks and Recreation Department and the city of Cortez for a job well done. I know that the facilities will be used for many years to come.
