The daughter reportedly said the man had asked if he could stay in her house while she was in Utah for two weeks, and she had denied him permission. But when police entered the apartment, they found bags of clothes, paperwork, a stick of incense and a pot of ramen noodles on the stove, all of which the tenant said did not belong to her. Police secured the apartment and returned after a report that the suspect was trying to enter through a window. They arrested him after he left the apartment carrying a bag of trash.

1:05 a.m.: A man and a woman were arrested in the 200 block of South Madison Street after the woman’s son reported the man was causing a disturbance in their home. Both the man and the woman were reportedly naked and highly intoxicated when police arrived, and the woman had a protection order that prohibited her from drinking. While police were escorting her out of the house, the woman reportedly tried to push an officer away, but tripped over her own feet and fell down. Police initially told the man he could go to a friend’s house to sober up, but when they refused to let him take a household dog with him, he reportedly tried to hit an officer, who pushed him to the ground. He was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer, and the woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order and resisting arrest. They were both medically cleared due to intoxication.
