Jill Carlson will be at Cortez’s Sunflower Theatre this weekend for two nights of comedy to benefit the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center.

Some of the top comedians in the Southwest will be at Cortez’s historic Sunflower Theatre this weekend for two full nights of laughs – all to benefit the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center.

“Two Nights of Comedy,” presented by Comedy Showcase Durango, will be Friday and Saturday, July 27-28, at the Sunflower Theatre, at 8 E. Main Street in downtown Cortez.

The doors open on both nights at 6 p.m., with show time at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for this 21-plus event.

A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, a not-for-profit archaeological research and educational organization dedicated to understanding and teaching the rich history of the ancestral Pueblo Indians who inhabited the canyons and mesas of the American Southwest more than 700 years ago.

The lineup of comedians scheduled to appear includes Maverick McWilliams, Lawrence Rosales, JC Anderson, Chris Gillespie, Joey Johnson, Reece Muniz, Joshua Fournier, Elliot Weber, Royal Wood, Zach Abeyta, David Kays, Wesley Stein and Jill Carlson.
