I would like to thank the community for their immense generosity during the Cortez Fire Protection District’s Food and Toy drive. We collected non-perishable food items and toys the week of November 5th that culminated at the Capitol Christmas Tree event on November 9th. The public came out in droves to help us fill the back of our antique fire truck with food and toys to help make the holidays a little happier for everyone. We delivered a truck full of food to Cindy Irvin at the Good Samaritan Center where she can help others during the holiday season. The toys will be passed on to help families during this festive time of the year. It is always reassuring to know that our community really steps up to help others in times of need.

Sincerely,
Jeff Vandevoorde, Fire Chief

Cortez Fire Protection District
