The Southern Ute Museum was named as one of the 80 institutions nationwide selected to participate in the Collections Assessment for Preservation program.
The program helps museums improve the care of collections through support for a conservation assessment of displays, archives and buildings. The museum will work with a team of preservation professionals to identify preventive conservation priorities. The final assessment report will help the museum prioritize its efforts to care for collections.
The Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation administers the program through an agreement with the Institute of Museum and Library Services federal grant.
