Mesa Verde will be open for limited visitor services on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Weather permitting, the park gates and roads will be open; however, Spruce Tree Terrace, the Chapin Mesa Museum, and tours to Spruce Tree House will be closed. Visitor restrooms will remain open.
Additionally, the park will have a snowplow operator available, if necessary, and a custodial worker and Law Enforcement Ranger will be working. In the past, the park has offered full services on these days although visitation is generally fairly low, stated Superintendent Cliff Spencer. The limited visitor services will allow our employees to spend the holidays with their families.
