The Mancos Ski Club will be back in session this January and February. Any child between the ages of 7 and 18 can participate. Beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders are welcome.

The club will be going to Telluride, Colo. on Jan. 13 and 27, and Feb. 3 (Sundays). The cost is $130 per session, and an additional $51 per session for rental of equipment, if needed. Also, the cost of transportation to and from Telluride is $10 per trip.

Included in the cost is a lift ticket and a two-hour lesson for all three days. Rentals are also available for all three days, if needed, at an additional charge.

Students with a Ski Colorado Card or Telluride Pass are encouraged to join us on these Sundays. $10 bus fare will be the only fee! Students must have their own equipment and be experienced skiers or snowboarders. A permission slip will need to be filled out in case of an emergency.

Additional adult chaperones are always welcome but not necessary, as the Ski Club sponsors, Cathy Epps and Don Asnicar, will be chaperoning each trip.

All forms and paperwork to sign up can be obtained through Cathy Epps at Mancos Elementary School. Contact Cathy Epps with any questions vie e-mail at ceps@mancosre6.edu or call her at 970-570-1744. All forms and payments (check or credit cards) must be completed by Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. (Make checks out to Mancos Ski Club.)
