To the editor:
Thank you to the Mancos Community for your support of the Mancos School Mill Levy. Many people worked hard to pass this measure so that our schools will continue to provide a quality education for our children. I appreciate the work of the Mill Levy Committee who attended many meetings, wrote articles, and informed the Mancos citizens through a door to door campaign about the need for this Mill Levy. The money generated from the Mill Levy will help to offset reductions in state funding and help to maintain current programs and retain highly qualified staff. I continue to be amazed by the Mancos community who embrace our responsibility to our kids and our schools.
