Dolores River Anglers meeting



A Dolores River Anglers meeting is scheduled today at 6:30 p.m., in the Cortez Elks Lodge. A slate of business officers will be there for members to approve (or modify), ratification of DRA bylaws, moving forward with the new chapter application. A presentation will then be given by Jeremy Nolan from Heads Up Fly Fishing. He will be doing his exceptional presentation on fishing the San Juan River. Antwon Burton next level performance camp



The Ute Mountain Recreation Center in Towaoc will be holding the Antwon Burton next level performance camp this weekend. Burton is an ex Denver Broncos defensive tackle, and the all sports strength and agility training camp is free. Local middle school and high school kids are encouraged to attend. The camp runs from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sunday. Call Nick Traweek at 570-7437 for more information.




Fort Lewis College cyclocross race



The Fort Lewis College cycling team will compete in a cyclocross race this weekend at Parque de Vida. Racing starts at 10 a.m. — men’s B/open women — 40 minutes, and 11 a.m. — men’s A/men’s 35-Older — 50 minutes, each day. The race is part of the 4 Corners Cyclocross Series. M-CHS indoor soccer open gym
