Marching Panthers excel



The Montezuma-Cortez High School Marching Panthers traveled to St. George, Utah recently for a competition and did extremely well. The marching band brought home a first place and Outstanding Visual in class 2A at the Red Rocks Marching Invitational. The band also took first place and Outstanding Visual, GE and Music in class 1A in the two-day competition.




Charter school application discussion



The Montezuma-Cortez School District Re-1 Board of Education will be discussing the Mesa Verde STEAM Academy charter school application at today’s (Nov. 13) work session from 6-6:30 p.m. Residents interested in the charter school application are welcome to attend, ask questions and give input at the meeting. The meeting will be held in the boardroom at the administration building at 400 North Elm St.
