Vectra Bank appoints new Cortez Market president
Vectra Bank Colorado names Paul Deshayes as Cortez Market President for Vectra Bank Colorado.
Bringing 25 years of management and banking experience to Vectra Bank, Deshayes was most recently Vice President of Business Services for Farmington, N.M. based, Animas Credit Union. Prior to that, Deshayes was a Senior Business Relationship Manager for Wells Fargo Bank in Farmington from 2000-2006.
Its great to join the Vectra Bank family here in Cortez, and I look forward to meeting the people in the community and finding opportunities to help Cortez and the Four Corners region grow, says Deshayes. Vectra Bank is truly a regional bank in the Four Corners area with locations in all three of the key markets. Our two branches here at City Market and on West Montezuma, are available to help with all of our Cortez customers financial needs. Additionally we have a branch in Farmington located on 20th Street, and are expanding our presence in Durango with a new branch under construction in the southern part of town, and the move and remodel of our current downtown branch.
Deshayes is a member of the Cortez Rotary Club and was previously a member of the San Juan Rotary Club since 2003, serving as President from 2009-2010. He was also the Farmington Chamber of Commerce Executive Board President in 2010, as well as a past board member for San Juan Regional Medical Center. He is currently enrolled in the Leadership Montezuma class for 2012-2013 and looks forward to learning more about the community. When hes not golfing, fishing or hunting, Deshayes visits his daughter, Courtney, who lives in the Phoenix area.
Childrens Kiva 25th Anniversary celebration
Make your reservations today for The Childrens Kiva Montessori School 25th anniversary celebration on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Cortez Elks, 2100 N. Dolores Rd. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. The events festivities will include dinner, cake, a live auction by Larry Don Suckla, a dessert auction, a Paint a tile for the Kiva project and live music featuring the band, Old North State, who blends elements of bluegrass, folk, rock and roll and punk rock. Auction items will include a Poco child carrier from Osprey Packs, a back country tour of Crow Canyons archeological excavations, locally handmade jewelry, pet care, dinners at local restaurants, salon services, auto care and more.
