Nina Heald Webber’s extraordinary donations to Fort Lewis College

This is a 1934 hand-tinted image from the Rainbow Bridge Exploring Expedition. Ford Motor Co. gave the expedition new Ford vehicles, which were frequently bogged down in mud and sand. The image was donated by Nina Heald Webber to the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College.
